Site Prep

In a typical construction project, we show up after the surveying crew determines the building and lot boundaries. We remove the soil to the depth required for the new foundation and ensures that the soil is firm through compaction tests and compaction with equipment, if necessary. The dig requirements are precise, so we use a level and transit to match the grade posted by the surveying crew. After the foundation contractor pours the footers and stem wall, we back-fill around the new foundation.

Roadways

Roadway excavation includes excavating and compacting, or disposing of, all materials of whatever character encountered in the work.

Drainage Systems

Stop dealing with water problems in your home and yard by installing this in-ground drainage system. This is a permanent, long-term solution to your wet yard.

Especially if your property is relatively flat, be mindful of standing water in your yard after rain falls. Your water table will rise, leading to increased risk of moisture damage to your home or business. In that case, a network of pipes that distribute moisture equally throughout your property can help solve your issue.

Sewer Hookup

To perform a sewer hookup, a main line must be installed from your business or home to the municipal system. This involves digging a trench, which may require removing trees and shrubs, breaking through rock and asphalt and more.

Additionally, if the sewer hookup is a replacement for an existing septic tank, we take the steps to properly dispose of the old installation.

Water Installation

Connect or hook up your water line from a build site,to the city water.

Concrete & Asphalt Prep

Demolition and removal is completed using heavy machinery, including small bobcats and forklifts and when necessary, front loaders and large dump trucks.

Debris is removed and in most instances, Overland Excavation recycles the old asphalt and concrete by delivering it to an asphalt plant, turning deteriorating waste into strong, usable new asphalt.

Septic Systems

We will help you choose a septic system that fits your business or property best, do soil testing and clearing for potential drain fields and tanks. Like your septic tank, the size of the drain field will depend on the square footage of your home or building and how much water you typically use.

Not all wastewater treatment takes place within the actual septic tank. Installing a drain field (also called the leach field) performs more than half the job in a conventional residential septic system.
